With five trim levels in total, it's easier than ever to find a Pathfinder that fits your needs. The base-level S may already have everything you need, as it comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels and LED exterior lights. With the SV trim, you get heated outboard mirrors with integrated turn signals and the option for a panoramic moonroof. Upgrade to the Rock Creek trim, a new addition for 2023, and you'll have a more outdoor-oriented Pathfinder with a 5/8-inch lift and 18-inch alloy wheels in the beadlock style, wrapped in all-terrain tires you can count on. Plus, there are unique fascia and grille designs, and a tubular roof rack. At the SL trim, you get a power rear liftgate, while the top Platinum trim sports rain-sensing wipers and power-folding outboard mirrors.

Every model of the Pathfinder is equipped with the same engine, and it has plenty of power to offer. It is a 3.5-liter V-6 that offers 284 horsepower with 259 pound-feet of torque, though its fuel economy will vary based on which trim level you opt for and the kind of drivetrain you choose. Either way, it comes paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission for both four-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.

The performance of the Pathfinder depends quite a bit on the specific model you opt for, but it's always impressive. One of the most appealing available features is the selectable drive modes that come with the 4WD models. There are seven different drive modes in total, including standard, sport, eco, snow, sand, mud/rut, and tow. The infotainment system is controlled by an 8-inch touchscreen interface as standard, though larger options are available.
