2023 Nissan Frontier

The entry-level Frontier is the S. It comes with 16-inch painted steel wheels, automatic halogen headlights, LED taillights, and manually adjustable side exterior mirrors. It also comes with a lockable tailgate with dampened opening and closure assist. Stepping up to the SV adds 17-inch alloy wheels and the option for the Convenience Package with a spray-in bed liner, under-rail bed lighting, heated side mirrors, and adjustable tie-down cleats in the bed. The Pro-X has 17-inch alloy wheels, all-terrain tires, and Bilstein off-road shocks. The Pro-4X adds to this with extra skid plates, a locking rear differential, and LED headlights. It also has LED daytime running lights.

Every 2023 Frontier gets power from a 3.8-liter V-6 gas engine that churns out 310 horsepower and generates 281 pound-feet of torque. It comes standard with rear-wheel drive, but four-wheel drive with low-range gearing is an option for any model.

The Frontier's nine-speed transmission smoothly works through the gears and helps to get the truck up to cruising speed quickly. The off-road Pro-4X has the gear to tackle rough terrain, and the quick and responsive steering makes this truck feel composed in any condition. When equipped, the Frontier can tow up to 6,720 pounds.

There's room for up to five people in the larger Frontier cab. It comes with cloth upholstery, a tilt steering wheel, and push-button start. The SV adds a power-adjustable driver's seat, while the optional SV Convenience Package adds a heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, and dual-zone automatic climate control. You can get leather upholstery and upgrade interior trim elements with the Pro Premium Package for the Pro-4X. The tech features in the Frontier start with an 8-inch touch-screen to house the infotainment system that works with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also has two USB ports, a 12-volt power outlet, and a 7-inch driver information display. The Pro-4X upgrades to a 9-inch touch-screen, adds a 10-speaker stereo system, navigation, NissanConnect Services, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. Opt for the Pro Convenience Package, and you'll also get a wireless smartphone charging pad.

Every 2023 Nissan Frontier comes with a rearview camera, anti-lock brakes, electronic stability and traction control, and a forward collision warning system with automatic braking. The Pro Convenience Package adds a 360-degree surround-view camera system, and if you add the Technology Package, it comes with a lane-departure warning system, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and rear automatic braking.
